The Assemblies of God Statement of Fundamental Truths is a description of the sixteen core doctrines adhered to by the Assemblies of God. These are nonnegotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. The Bridge Church has been a member of the Assemblies of God denomination since its inception in 1938.
Practical Life Issues
In life there are tough decisions that everybody has to make. We believe that the Bible has an answer for everything. It’s just a matter of knowing it enough and interpreting it correctly.
Ever heard the phrase actions speak louder than words? In our world today, talk is cheap, and rightfully so. This is not a new concept. Jesus once said, “Let your light so shine before men that they can see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) In other words, don’t just talk about love—show it. Let your light shine in dark places. Live out your faith. At the Bridge Church, we are striving to obey this simple command by sharing God’s love in tangible ways. Our hope is that by serving others, we may actually become LIVING PROOF that God is real, and that He loves every person just as they are.
Of a Loving God

God could reveal Himself in countless ways—and often does—but for some reason, He has mainly chosen to work through people. That’s us. Human beings. Imperfect people. Broken people. Recycled, restored, rehabilitated people. Why? Maybe it’s because we who have been forever changed by God’s LOVE, ourselves, can best know how to share that love with others. Exactly. In fact, God actually calls us to become “ambassadors” for him, speaking and acting on his behalf, so that all mankind will know and respond to the love of their Heavenly Father.
To a Watching World
More than ever before our personal lives are on display for all the world to see—and they are watching! Thanks to Facebook, Twitter, and a good camera phone, our friends can see everything from our Starbucks latte to our vacation photo album. So what could Throwback Thursday possibly have to do with sharing God’s love? It’s simple. As followers of Jesus, our lives are our message. Living proof of a loving God. So every day is important. Every conversation is meaningful. Every neighbor needs to know that God loves them unconditionally and has a plan for their life. Do they see God in us? They’re watching…
